BIOGRAPHICAL BOOKLET

Meister der Typografie (German: “Master of Typography”) was a research oriented project that required a thorough study of one of the world’s most famous typographers, both in their biography and design, and to apply to a booklet focused on both elements of their lives. Erik Spiekermann, a brilliant German typographer who founded FontShop and MetaDesign, was the subject for this study.

Designing with intent was a large focus for this project, specifically how it tied back to Spiekermann. The visual style of this booklet was reflective of Spiekermann’s contributions to the design industry, with its color palette matching that of FontShop and its typography consisting of typefaces Spiekermann designed.
